Description
BLS Instructor (BLS certification required)
BLS Instructor certification allows you to teach Basic Life Support, CPR/AED, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens and more. The course is an American Heart Association course and is comprised of an online module, in person course, and an observed teaching course.
The online course will familiarize you with the structure and requirements of teaching courses for American Heart Association. This course can take between 2-4 hours to complete and can be done in sections.
The in person course gives you the opportunity to practice your teaching skills with other instructors and candidates, as well as covering important teaching requirements / topics. This portion of the class will take between 4-5 hours depending on the quantity of students in the course.
After successful completion of the above two modules you will need to teach a course observed training faculty. This can be done by setting up a course and having a Training Faculty come out to observe your course. You can also ask to be a guest instructor for Smooth Bore CPR during one of our scheduled courses and be observed by training faculty.
After you have completed those steps you will be given an AHA BLS Instructor certification card.

ADD On Option:
American Safety Health Institute - $50
Upon completion of your American Heart Association (AHA) instructor certification, you have the option to enhance your credentials by adding an American Safety Health Institute (ASHI) certification. This addition enables you to teach ASHI classes in addition to AHA courses.
Once you have obtained your AHA instructor certification card, we can facilitate the process of establishing you as an instructor with ASHI. Smooth Bore CPR will be listed as your designated training center, ensuring seamless integration into our teaching team.

Upon completing your certification with Smooth Bore CPR, we extend the opportunity to join our teaching team. It's important to note that this opportunity is not an employment offer but rather a chance to teach as availability aligns with our class schedule. Earnings are contingent upon factors such as class size, location, and pre-negotiated rates.

Instructor Class Refund / Cancellation Policy:
If you find yourself unable to attend a course for which you've already registered, we kindly ask that you contact us at 970-975-0343 prior to canceling your registration.
For a partial refund, students must initiate cancellation at least 14 days before the scheduled class date/time. Refunds will be issued with a deduction of $50 to cover the cost of the nonrefundable online content, in addition to a $20 deduction for enrollment fees, credit card processing fees, and administrative costs, totaling a $70 deduction from the credit. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the class will not be eligible for a refund.
